Considering Signing up for a Leaning Pod?
Learning Pods: Learn in a Community
Learning Pod Expectatoins
Learning Pod Safety, Conduct & Adult Participation Policy
Learning Pods are small‑group instructional environments designed to be safe, respectful, and supportive for all participating students. Because Learning Pods involve interaction among multiple minors, additional conduct and safety expectations apply to protect the learning experience and well‑being of every child.
This Policy applies to all students enrolled in Learning Pod services and to all parents, guardians, or adults present during sessions.
All Participating families will need to read and sign a Learning Pod Addendum as part of the Tuturing Agreement.
Learning Pods
Looking for a more collaborative learning experience? Learning pods bring the power of structured literacy instruction into a small group setting — giving your child the benefits of expert teaching alongside the energy and motivation of learning with peers.
All pods are held virtually via Zoom, so families anywhere in the world can participate.
How learning pods work:
Pods consist of 3–4 students carefully grouped together by skill level
Each pod meets virtually via Zoom for focused, structured literacy instruction
Students are matched by me based on their current reading level and learning needs — so every child in the group is working toward the same goals
Instruction follows the same research-backed, Science of Reading approach used in all of my one-on-one sessions
Why pods work:
Small group learning creates a dynamic that one-on-one sessions simply can't replicate. Children hear each other sound out words, celebrate each other's wins, and build confidence knowing they are not alone in their learning journey. For many kids, that peer connection is exactly the motivator they need to stay engaged and keep growing.
Is a learning pod right for my child?
Learning pods are a great fit for children who:
Are social learners who thrive alongside peers
Are at a similar skill level as other available pod students
Are ready for a slightly faster-paced group environment
Have families looking for a more affordable alternative to one-on-one tutoring
How to join:
Spots in learning pods are limited to keep groups small and instruction focused. Contact me to find out about current pod availability and whether your child is a good fit for an existing group.
